The Golden Possibility

I invite you to be present and open to all that is possible.
Recently, I joined a group called At The Well, where we gather to celebrate the beginning of each new Hebrew month. As we approach Rosh Hashanah—the Jewish New Year, often referred to as the “Head of the Year” — I have been thinking about beginnings.
Not just the beginning of a year or a month, but the opportunity that exists in every moment to begin again.
It is natural to grow and evolve over time. Sometimes, however, we face what is emerging with fear because we don’t know what lies ahead. What might happen if we approached the unknown instead with excitement and curiosity?
We are allowed to change.
We are allowed to soften.
We are allowed to begin again.
Alan Watts, author of The Way of Zen, reminds us, “You are under no obligation to be the same person you were 5 minutes ago.”
Perhaps possibility itself is like a golden ticket — an invitation waiting to be discovered. An invitation to step through a door we hadn’t noticed before. An invitation to try something new, meet someone new, share something we love, or simply show up in a different way.
Sometimes the golden opportunity isn’t hidden somewhere far away. Sometimes, it is right in front of us. Sometimes, we simply have to be willing to recognize it.
As we move into this season of new beginnings, I invite you to consider:
What possibilities are waiting for you?
What might emerge if you met the unknown with curiosity rather than fear?
What golden opportunity might be waiting for you to say yes?
